Adam Larkum - Illustrator

I studied Illustration and Animation at Edinburgh College of Art, where I gained a B.A. Honours and then later an M.A. in Animation.

I have been illustrating for the past 15 years, working in publishing, editorial, advertising, as well as designing characters for television and producing biscuit packaging.

I started my career producing illustrations for The Scotsman newspaper, but then swiftly moved into animation where I worked as an art director on a number of television commercials. I then moved over in to illustration and to date have fully Illustrated over 40 books.

I love to draw with a dip pen and a bottle of ink, and often I have to use a hair dryer to speed dry the ink so that I can scan the drawings quickly and get on with the colouring which I do on my computer.
