This Privacy Policy relates to our use of personal information we collect from you and do this only if we have a reason to do so, for example, to deliver our services, to communicate with you, or to make our services better. Here are a few examples of where we collect data from:

Information we collect, provided by you
LoveReading will keep a record of your details. When you participate in, access or sign up to any of our services, activities or online content, such as newsletters or create an account, we ask for basic information about you. This can consist of information such as your first and last name, email address, book preferences, telephone or mobile number.
If you have an account with us and sign up with us to become a reviewer, you will be asked to provide more information like a postal address. You can choose not to provide the optional account information, and profile information. Please keep in mind however that if you do not provide this information, certain features of our services, like your ability to request books, will not be accessible.
Depending on the services you use, you may also provide us with information about you in the content of your reviews and feedback.
You may also provide us information when you respond to surveys or communicate with our customer services staff about a support question.
We do not store credit card details nor do we share financial details with any third parties.
We will not send any direct mailings or pass information on to third parties for anybody who indicates that they are under the age of 18, without prior permission from parents or guardians. Details of all those under 18 will remain on our private database.
LoveReading uses your information to better understand your needs and provide you with a more tailored and effective service.
From time to time, we may use your information to contact you for market research or to provide you with marketing information and newsletters relating to our goods and services.
We will always give you the opportunity to opt out of receiving such direct marketing or market research contact each time you receive a new item of information. LoveReading will not sell, rent or lease your personally identifiable information to others unless we have obtained your express permission or are required to do so by law.
Information we collect automatically
It is important to highlight the fact that we do collect some information automatically.
Log Information: Like most online service providers, we collect information that web browsers, mobile devices, and servers typically make available, such as the browser type, IP address, unique device identifiers, language preference, referring site, the date and time of access, operating system, and mobile network information. We store this data separately other data you enter when you use our Services. This information cannot be connected to a specific person. It will be analysed for statistical purposes and subsequently be deleted. We collect log information when you use our Services–for example, when you request a book from a publisher on LoveReading.
Usage Information: We collect information about your usage of our Services. For example, we collect information about the actions that visitors perform on a site. We also collect information about what happens when you use our Services (e.g., page views, extract downloads, etc.) along with information about your device (e.g., mobile screen size, name of cellular network, and mobile device manufacturer). We use this information to, for example, provide our Services to you, as well as get insights on how people use our Services, so we can make our Services better.
Location Information: We may determine the approximate location of your device from your IP address. We collect and use this information to, for example, calculate how many people visit our Services from certain geographic regions.
Cookie Information: LoveReading uses cookies but this doesn’t tell us who you are.
Cookies are small text files that are often created when you visit a website, and which are stored in the cookie directory of your computer. We use temporary cookies (called session cookies). Session cookies disappear when you leave our websites and close your browser.
Cookies enable a website owner to do handy things like find out whether the user has previously visited the site. This happens on a repeat visit by checking to see, and finding, the cookie deposited there on the previous visit. This information is used to track visitor use of the website and to compile statistical reports on website activity. Opting out of communications
We will use your email address to send you email marketing (including our newsletter, information about our products and services, rewards and competitions) where you have signed up to receive this from us.
You can opt out of receiving marketing emails at any time by following the instructions to unsubscribe in any of our email marketing communications. It can take up to 48 hours for your change in preference to take effect and the change will not affect any marketing emails that have already been scheduled to be sent in the future.
If you opt out of email marketing, we may still need to send you service communications by email from time to time, such as information about changes to our services.
Sharing Information
Publishers: We will share information about you to the book publishers who approve or deny requests you make of them with regards to copies of books for review. We require that our publisher customers treat your personal information as confidential.
As Required by Law: We may disclose information about you in response to a subpoena, court order, or other governmental request.
To Protect Rights and Property: We may disclose information about you when we believe in good faith that disclosure is reasonably necessary to protect the property or rights of LoveReading, third parties, or the public at large. For example, if we have a good faith belief that there is an imminent danger of death or serious physical injury, we may disclose information related to the emergency without delay.
Business Transfers: In connection with any merger, sale of company assets, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business by another company, or in the event that LoveReading goes out of business or enters bankruptcy, member information would likely be one of the assets that is transferred or acquired by a third party. If any of these events were to happen, this Privacy Policy would continue to apply to your information and the party receiving your information may continue to use your information, but only consistent with this Privacy Policy.
With Your Consent: We may share and disclose information with your consent or at your direction. For example, we may share your information with third parties with which you authorise us to do so, such as the social media services that you connect to your account through our social sharing feature
