The Beast and The Bethany: Child of the Beast

I couldn’t put the book down. It had me hooked and every page something was happening for me to carry on reading.

Ebenezer kept a beast for 512 years and he lived in the attic. Bethany doesn’t like the beast and is trying to be teach the beast to be good. A egg is hatched from the beast. When Bethany is upset the egg child gets bigger.
The egg child finds the truth about Bethany’s parents and plans to use it against her.
It is humorous exciting and what happens next.
I couldn’t put the book down. It had me hooked and every page something was happening for me to carry on reading.
I enjoyed reading the book and it didn’t disappoint.

A dark but humorous book that will keep older children entertained.

A funny at times and slightly dark read. It has a story that will keep older children interested while also having themes throughout that will make you think.

It isn’t too childish and definitely fits the 8-12 age group.

It gets across a message to children about lifeand its challenges in an entertaining way as well as behaviour and relationships.

The story keeps you guessing and has twists to keep you wanting to read more.

Bethany is a character I think many will take to heart, watching how she copes with the things that come up in her life can also help others to look at their own problems and fears.
