This book is ideal for 6 and 7 year olds. I loved the pictures because they have loads of details and bright colours. It’s a very funny comic book that’s great for boys and girls.
I really enjoyed Max and Chaffy: Cupcake Mystery. This book is ideal for 6 and 7 year olds and even though I’m in Year 3, I still enjoyed the story and activities. I loved this book because you had to find Chaffy and if you don’t know who Chaffy is, he is a little snowball with ears and he’s very funny. At the end of every chapter, you need to find Chaffy who will be hidden in a fun picture and it gets harder and harder as you move onto every chapter.
This fun story is about a little girl and her partner, Chaffy, exploring animal island to help Chief Constable Moose find his cupcake for his surprise birthday party. My favourite characters were the main character, called Max, and the pig called Orlando. I really enjoyed it when Orlando kept making spelling mistakes, like writing ‘Happy Bathday’!

My boy absolutely loves this book. He is only 5 and the book might be too big for him but he enjoys together with me looking at the pages. I read it with him and we look at the pictures. The book itself is so beautiful, the cover and the pages. We both like the story and we think that it is quite interesting and exciting to go through it. I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

I really liked this book. It was really good I was able to read it all to my sisters and my mummy and daddy. The pictures made me smile they were good. I loved to find Chaffy it was fun.

My 5 year old really enjoyed reading this book. She is just beginning to read so she is a little young for reading it independently but we enjoyed reading it together.
My daughter really loved the illustrations, they were fun and bright and we both found the different characters to be very cute.
My daughter found the comic book style story to be exciting and a lot of fun. She really enjoyed finding Chaffy at the end of each chapter.

My favourite part was when Max and Chaffy met a new friend and made music together.
I love the colourful, cute illustrations, Chaffy is my favourite. I also enjoy the "Spot the Chaffy" pages between each chapter.
