Not Now, Noor!

My son loved the story of this amazing book. He loves looking at the pages and he asks me to read it to him. He even tries himself! He said the story is very interesting.

The story of this book is very interesting and entertaining for my son. He loves it and often read it to him for bedtime. It is very educational and nice.

A fun look at the possible reasons a young child imagines all the different females in her extended family might have for wearing the hijab

Noor is a young girl whose female family members wear the hijab. They are all too busy to explain to her why they wear it when she asks, so she imagines lots of hilarious reasons they might do so, including being a ninja! There is a lovely illustrated family tree at the beginning of the book to help the reader keep track of the members of Noor's extended family.

This is a lovely book for any curious children to learn why some women wear the hijab.

Quite a few women in our family wear the hijab. So this is a lovely book for my little one to learn a bit about the hijab and why some of the women in our family wear it.
I think this book is mostly aimed at young Muslims girls but it would be great for all children to learn a little about the hijab and a different culture in a simple, easy to digest way.
The book is funny and Noor's curiosity is charming. The characters in the book are very relatable and we couldn't help but compare them to our own family members. The illustrations are lovely, all the characters are so cute to look at.
The book is well written and my little one enjoyed reading this with me. I highly recommend!

I thought the book was very good and funny. It made me happy.

In this book a little girl wants to know why everyone in her family wears a Hijab. She asks everyone but they are all too busy! In the end her mummy tells her what it means and saves the day!

I thought the book was very good and funny. It made me happy. Me and my twin sister read it before bed. We loved it so much that we took it into school on the first day of Ramadan and our teacher read it to the whole class.

We like the way the little girl kept asking her family until she got the answer she needed - she didn’t give up!

We loved the pictures in the book, they are really colourful.

We are happy that we know why Muslim girls wear hijabs.
