Home for Grace

Home for Grace is a heartwarming and moving children’s book which tells the story of kindness and friendship to a homeless lady. It is beautifully written and illustrated and very much a book of our times.

Home for Grace is a beautifully illustrated book that tells a story of kindness and compassion to someone less fortunate. It is about a mum and her little girl Jess who do not walk on by when they see a homeless lady in a shop doorway but reach out and in doing so learn that the homeless have a face, a name, and their own story. I read this with my grandchildren, it prompted questions, which is a good thing, and it was wonderful to see just how much they engaged with the story and enjoyed it. Home for Grace is a heartwarming book that really moved me and is so relevant to the times that we live in today.

Heartwarming story to teach children about helping refugees.

A beautiful story about being kind and helping others. I am a primary school teacher and my class loved reading this over and over again, particularly around Christmas time. We thought about what we could share with others to help them around that time of year, just like they did in the story.
