Hide and Secrets is a fantastic book full of exciting twists and turns along the story line. The book is about a young, curious and clever girl, Cat whose father mysteriously disappeared a year and a half ago. When she finds out someone is deceiving her, the whole story changes as it gets more and more interesting. I love how the author has explained everything and how detailed it is. It truly is a mind-blowing story. I would like to recommend this book to anyone who is interested in and loves to read adventurous and suspenseful books.

Amazing and heart - warming book with plot twists you never expected coming.
Furious at the world around her, fourteen year-old Cat is facing the struggle of her dad being dead, her sister refusing to talk and her mum always being angry at her. One day, she gets a mysterious call from a person who claims to be her deceased dad's friend and unravels a trail of clues, the adventure which she goes on with the handsome boy next door.
It's a heartwarming book of friendship, mystery, adventure with a hint of horror. I would recommend this book for children aged 11 - 16 who like mystery and adventure.
This story is incredible in the way it entrances the reader and instantly surprises them with the unanticipated story line.
Hide and Secrets is a novel that is filled to the brim with unexpected twists and turns making it a very exciting and entertaining read. Cat, with the help of Tyler, must discover the mystifying blue fire diamond in order to save her family. After the presumed death of her father, Cat is expecting nothing but a dreary summer holiday, spending her time dressmaking in the barn. But, all of that abruptly changes when Cat gets a mysterious phone call from one of her Dad’s old friends with intriguing news of her father. This book is highly interesting as it is nothing like I’ve ever read before and I found it extremely captivating.

Hide and Secrets is a very clever book told from a young girl (age 14) called Cat. It takes you with Cat and her friend Tyler on an adventure to find out about Cat’s Dad’s history. This book is unpredictable, taking the reader through many twists and turns throughout the adventure. You will not want to put the book down until you discover what truly happened. This is a very well-written and thrilling book. I really enjoyed trying to work out what had happened to Cat’s Dad and the ending really shocked me. This is an amazing book and I definitely recommend it to anyone between 11 and 16.
