Farah's Nose Synopsis

Farah hates her "strong" nose, despite Dadi Ama telling her that it should make her proud. How can she be proud of her nose?

When Farah visits a British South Asians' photo exhibition at her local museum, she is surrounded by pictures of brave, determined, proud women with the same nose. As she reads about the Strikers in Saris, and how chicken tikka became the national dish of Britain, Farah is finally able to see past her nose, to the trailblazers, mothers, leaders and friends it represents.

Featuring historical facts throughout the story and a non-fiction spread at the end, this beautifully illustrated story introduces all children to South Asian heritage and history.
