Pam Flowers and her team ran the Iditarod Trail Sled Dog Race, mushed to the Magnetic North Pole, and made a 2,500-mile trans-arctic expedition. Her account of that journey is chronicled in Alone Across the Arctic, and she is also the coauthor of the children’s book Ellie's Long Walk: The True Story of Two Friends on the Appalachian Trail and Douggie: The Playful Pup Who Became a Sled Dog Hero. Pam shares her amazing inspirational stories in classrooms and auditoriums all over North America. She lives in Talkeetna, Alaska. Alaskan author Ann Dixon has written several children's books, including Blueberry Shoe and Winter Is. With Pam, she coauthored Alone Across The Arctic.
