JEAN PETERSEN is the author of both a non-fiction children's book and a cookbook, as well as a magazine freelance writer and weekly newspaper columnist. A graduate of Colorado State University, she resides with her husband, four children, and a menagerie of animals on their small farm in Montana. Jean enjoys camping with her family and watching sunsets over the mountains, but prefers not to face down any rattlesnakes.
